A New Statesman fenti cikke például időközben kiszabadult a nemzetközi mikroblogvilágba.
„A friend of mine says that even people at her university are afraid of speaking up, including teachers. The Neo-nazis have lists of people who they target as Jewish, for example. Stickers advocating for the killing of Jews appeared even on the teacher’s cabinet and noone did anything about this.”
„fuck. this. shit.”
„WHY THE FUCK AREN’T MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIS”
„No, I don’t know the full story, but yes, I did write a message to the UN reps, urging them to do something. You don’t need to be Jewish or Rromani to be concerned with this issue. I’m not asking you to reblog this or even to send a message to the UN— but please read the article, at least.”
I have family in Hungary and go there regularly, and the amount of racism and prejudice (especially towards gypsies) is absolutely staggering. It’s such a beautiful county and hearing stuff like this is horrible. The financial situation there has been completely dire, and shit like this always comes off the back of hard times. The worse situations are the easier it is for fucked up political doctrine to elbow it’s way in”
„Hungary is now a totalitarian state largely run by neo-Nazis. Rromani & Jews have been screaming their lungs out over the last two years. ”
„I hadn’t even heared of this. ;_; ”
„I think this is one of the first times in my life where all I can feel about something is fear. It’s like some perception that while there was still antisemitism and surely plenty of Neo Nazi political groups active around the world, that those groups couldn’t actually gain any real power has been shattered.”
„ok, i actually live here… but not for too long, like most of the people who can, i will leave this place too, before they force me to stay.”
„This is where my dad and his family come from this is really scary”
„Funny all this is going on, meanwhile world news headlines in the past couple of days have been focused on N. Korea...”
„what oh shit really”
