„You can keep track of the Emmys online, enhancing your TV-viewing experience with this quick list of three ways to get more from tonight's broadcast and red-carpet special.
1. Watch the Emmys Online With a Second Screen
The Emmys' »Backstage Live!« stream has 15 cameras that will offer viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the red carpet, backstage and post-Emmys Governors Ball party. The second-screen experience will let people check in on GetGlue, take interactive polls, participate in quizzes and join the conversation using hashtag #EmmysChat or #EmmysCongrats (used to give kudos to winners). The specific Social Media Cam angle will feature host Marc Istook. This is the fourth year that Emmys.com will provide the backstage live stream.
2. Follow Instagram's Behind-the-Scenes Streams
Instagram has set up »InstaStop« iPad booths on the red carpet and backstage to encourage celebrities to take selfies. This is the first major awards show where Instagram is using photo and video booths. (The InstaStop booths are iPads in a custom-made tripod case.)
Omg! Insider will manage the red carpet InstaStop station — dubbed the InstaRunway — and fashionable selfies will be posted on their Instagram account. Yahoo will operate the backstage InstaStop station, where the winners will stop after they leave the stage. What's more, Yahoo TV's Instagram account will feature celebrities holding quirky pre-made signs, as well as their »I forgot to thank [fill in the blank]« moments.”
